Nigeria’s top Journalist, Juliana Francis, Wins Three NMMA Awards

 

 

Nigeria’s seasoned Crime Editor and Media Merit Award (NMMA) Defense Reporter of the Year, Juliana Francis, has reacted to her victory at the 2020 edition of the prestigious award where she clinched three gongs.

Francis was crowned the Defense Reporter, Power Reporter, and Human Rights Reporter of the Year at the event held at the Sheraton Hotel, Lagos, country’s commercial capital on Friday, December 18, 2020.

Reacting to the award on her Facebook page, Francis said the year 2020 “has been an eventful and unforgettable year in all ramifications.”

She appreciated God for the success saying “Thank You Almighty God for being God.

The multiple-awards winning journalist who is the Editor of Crime Pages at New Telegraph Newspapers, received five nominations including Female Reporter and Insurance Reporter of the Year.

She was also the first runner-up in the Lagos report category at the recently held Diamond Awards for Media Excellence (DAME).

A University of Ilorin graduate with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A) Literature in English, Juliana had also won the 2014 overall prize of the Wole Soyinka Award for Investigative Reporting among several other awards.
